Starry, Starry Night

Tonight I decided it was time for a Nat Sherman. I am in the middle of reading Blue Like Jazz, and he kept talking about smoking his pipe, etc., and I just started craving Nat. As I sat outside and looked at the sky, I realized just how vast it is. The sky looks ginormous here, but it doesn't stop in Abilene. It covers the whole world. There are many complexities in this world that I do not understand (including the sky and the stars), and I realized that we are never alone. What a wonderful feeling it is to sit outside at night by yourself and realize that you are not alone. I am always comforted by this being that I cannot explain and I cannot deny.
